Full Availability Trade Mark Search
It is advisable to carry out a full availability trade mark search prior to filing or using a new Trade mark to see if it is already in use by another trader. Our prices start at £300 (plus VAT if applicable) + disbursements for carrying out an in-depth search of the UK, register for up to three classes. A detailed report of the search and advice on how to avoid any objection with the Trade Mark Register or conflicts with earlier registered marks is included. Trade Mark Renewal
A trade mark remains in force for a period of ten years from the date of registration. After this time it needs to be renewed for a further period of ten years to keep it in force. Our fees for renewing an individual trade mark start at £230 for UK registration and £300 for an EU Trade Mark registration. For multiple renewals we offer discounts and so for an accurate quote or the renewal of trade mark registrations outside the EU, please contact us by phone or email.

Trade Mark Watch Service
The UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) and or the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) will not police trade marks for owners. It is up to the owners of trade marks to oppose any applications they feel encroach on their trade mark and damage their business. We, therefore, recommend setting up a Watching Service to protect your trademarks as this will alert us to any conflicting trade mark applications. We can also apply this to company registrations and domain name registrations to give your trade mark additional protection. These watching services can be tailored to those countries of most interest to you.
Opposing Conflicting Trade Marks
If our Trade Mark Watch Service has picked up any attempts to register identical or confusingly similar trademarks to yours we can take action against them by serving notices of opposition or cease and desist letters. In this way we can help you protect and strengthen your Trade Mark. We can of course do this even if you are not registered with the Trade Mark Watch Service but we are far more likely to find out about the conflicting Trade Marks if you are.

Trade Mark Cancellation and Revocation
If a conflicting trade mark to yours has already been registered we can help you with its removal from the Register. This can be done by filing and defending application or bringing an action for invalidating the conflicting mark.
If a competitor is unfairly preventing your trade mark from being registered we may also be able to help you overcome this. It would involve arguments on whether the competitor had been using the trademark genuinely in commerce for a period of time and we would need to speak to you in some depth about this.
